ICAI has issued admit cards for CA Foundation January 2025 which will be released fifteen days before the exam. Candidates can download their individual admit card from the official website with their login details. Candidates need to enter their registration number and password to access it. CA Foundation January 2025 exams are scheduled to take place on the following dates: January 12, 14, 16 and 18 2025

Admit card is an essential document required to enter an examination hall.

Steps to Download Admit Card

Each person's CA foundation admit card has been released on the official website of ICAI. The applicants have to visit the website to obtain, verify, and download the CA Foundation admit card. 

Step 1: Visit the official website ICAI

Step 2: Click on the "Login" tab.

Step 3: Enter your registration ID and password.

Step 4: Your candidate dashboard will be shown to you.

Step 5: Search for and click on the "CA Foundation admit card" link.

Step 6: Your CA Foundation hall ticket will come up on your screen.

Step 7: Recheck all the details mentioned on the hall ticket.

Step 8: In case of errors, get in touch with the ICAI helpdesk.

Importance of Admit Card

The CA Foundation admit card is a very important document for those candidates who are appearing for the CA Foundation exam. It contains all the important information regarding the schedule of the exam and details of a candidate which is required at the time of identification at the exam centre to enter the exam hall. No candidate is allowed to appear in the exam without an admit card.

In the event of any mistake noticed, then the candidate should inform the examination authorities immediately so that corrections could be made and a new admit card may be provided.

Retrieving Login Credentials

If the candidates have forgotten their registration number or password needed for login, then they can regenerate the same by following the steps given below:

  • Login as a registered user on the ICAI official website

  • Click on the link

  • Select the forgot registration number or password

  • Enter details as asked for authentication

  • After submission, the registered email ID and mobile number will receive the registration number and password.

The candidate can change the password through any of the three options below:

Option 1: Using an email address as login details, registration number, mobile number, and answer to the security question

Option 2: By using the date of birth, CA Foundation registration number, security question, and answer.

Option 3: Use Registration, Exam application barcode, Personal ID numbers.

Admit Card Error Rectification

The candidates who get the CA Foundation admit card are supposed to inspect the admit card properly so that all the details about the candidate on the CA Foundation admit card are correct. If any mistakes are found in the CA Foundation admit card, then the candidates have to follow the following procedures so that the necessary corrections can be done with the issue of a new CA Foundation admit card.

  • Candidates have to apply online, which would raise the grievance of the discrepancies present in the CA Foundation admit card.

  • The candidates have to attach a scanned copy duly signed and attested on the application.

  • Once the authority sanctions, then the change would be done, and through the letter or email ICAI would confirm for the candidate.

  • Candidates would have to bring the old admit card and the sanctioning copy of ICAI with them to appear in the CA foundation examination.

Exam Centre for January 2025

ICAI or the conducting authority decides the exam centres. While filling in the form of CA Foundation, you will have the option of selecting your preferred examination centre. Even the cities in which CA Foundation exams would take place, ICAI informs you. The address for which city and location assigned for the candidate has been specified on the admit card too.

Date for Exam

ICAI released the dates for CA January Jan 2025. From the schedule, it could be seen that the test would be conducted on January 12, 14, 16 and 18, 2025. ICAI offers the exam three times in a year in January, May/June and September.

What to Bring on Examination Day

  1. Candidates shall carry the hard copy of the CA Foundation admit card to the exam venue. 

  2. Candidates should also carry any one of the following common photo identity proofs.

  • Aadhaar card

  • Voter ID card

  • Passport

  • PAN card

  • Driving Licence

Instructions of Exam

Here are the important instructions to be followed on the day of your CA Foundation examination:

  • Carry a photocopy of your CA Foundation admit card and one government valid identification proof.

  • Report to the exam centre at least half an hour before the scheduled time.

  • You will have 15 minutes to glance through the paper before starting the exam.

  • You cannot get out of the exam room before the time fixed for you in the admit card

  • When leaving the examination room hand over question paper and OMR response sheet 

  • Get your attendance with signature and roll number

  • Do not carry restricted items like books, Stationary, smart watches, mobile, electronics devices, etc. on any Examination centre.
